Don't gasp everyone!!! I'm blogging again!!!!! These are just some random pictures I've taken in the last week to show you what our life is like these days. Jenna loves playing with her daddy!!!! She is ultra ticklish!!!

She couldn't choose just one ball, so she decided to play with both balls....and how about we try to do a somersault while holding them both!!!!

These days we have church starting at 11:30 so we have a little more time to kill on Sunday mornings.....thus we have a little more goofy time together...Jenna took the ponytails out of my hair that morning and decided she wanted me to put them in hers....then she kept finding more and more and asking me to put them in....so here's the end result:

.....But then...our little goofball turned into a beautiful princess....I gave her a bath and decided to see if her hair was getting any longer....and guess what???? it finally fits in pigtails!!!!! Not perfectly, but it's definitely getting somewhere!!!!! Aren't her pigtails adorable??????

....and what a little diva we have....we put on her pajamas and she decided that it was time to watch a little TV with her shades on....not that it was dark or anything!!!!! It was so crazy cute I had to take a picture!!!!! And then she had to take notes on her TV show too!!!

For all you seeing this: this little girl is a love machine. She carries some kind of doll...tinkerbell...baby...something wrapped in a blanket....hugging and kissing it constantly.

Here are some pictures from a couple weeks ago when we actually had snow left...Jill gave Jenna this inflatable sled for Christmas and she loves being pulled around in it...snow or no snow.

Our little girl is so cute....but we are definitely a little biased....her big smile just melts our hearts.

A Quick Update!!!

So, everyone!!! It's been a while since I posted anything, but here's a short update for what happened in our family in 2010!!!!

First, James and I went to Twin Falls for Derek & Molly Bedke's wedding on December 16th, following which we flew to Las Vegas for Quinn & Brittany's on the 18th. We had a blast....left the 2 year old with Grandma Forsberg and enjoyed some time with just the two of us!!!

Once we got back, it was all Christmas preparations...so much to do....so

little time before the big holiday!!!

I guess it's a good thing that Santa had his little helper!!!! It was awesome that Jenna didn't cry this year, considering her close relationship with the man in the red suit!!! :)

Christmas morning was a ton of fun. Jenna loved all her presents.....but she did get tired of opening so many and not getting to play with everything!!!! Santa brought her a new cradle for her baby dolls and a new big girl bed with Tinkerbell bedding!!!!!

(Do notice her Tinkerbell PJ pants that Mommy made....and made some for mommy too!!!!!)

Once the Christmas celebrations were done, James and I started packing for our 3rd Anniversary getaway!!! That's right, 3 years already!!!! We just can't believe it....sometimes it feels like it's been forever, but mostly it's just flown by!!!!

The two of us took some snowmobiles, some sleeping bags, extra clothes and food and made our way to Reecer Creek (in the mountains above Ellensburg) to stay in a cabin that we rented up there. Isn't it just beautiful with all that snow????

And then.......our anniversary getaway turned into an 11-year old scout outing!!!!!! That's right, Leon and 12 other scouts and adult leaders came up to the cabin and stayed the night with us there....I was the only girl with all these boys!!!!!!

After all the excitement of the snowmobile trip, we had one day to

get back to things before the party began again!!!!!!!!!!

New Year's Eve was pretty fun too!!!!!!! We went over to Anne and Kalvin's house for Chico's pizza and playing games. Jenna especially loved the PS2 Just Dance part of the night!!!!! We were all entertained just watching her move in ways that none of us thought she'd ever be able to....due to the fact that neither one of her parents have any rhythm or dance abilites at all.... (Lori, Mckenzie, and Danielle: maybe there is some hope for her to have dancing talents!!!)

After all the dancing, James blew up some fireworks outside as we rang in the New Year with a BANG!!!!!!! At least there was no fire involved with these fireworks :)

Oh yeah everyone!!!!! I forgot......for anyone who might not know yet....I'm pregnant.....20 weeks...due March 24th.....and today......we found out that we're having a............

BOY!!!!!!!!

Yep, that's right....another James is on his way to this world.....I know....some of you are going.....oh great!!!! I'm actually pretty excited!!!!! It's going to be fun....and I love that there's going to be another one of my lovely men in this world!!!!!!

Halloween Night!!!! (well the night before actually....because of the whole halloween on Sunday thing!!!!)

Halloween was so much fun for all of us this year!!!! I was a little nervous about taking Jenna outside in the cold due to the fact that she just had pneumonia for the 2nd time in six months...but we didn't stay out too long...just went to the 5th ward Halloween party "witch" was absolutely awesome!!!!! We had a lot of fun...we decorated a table of our own....and thanks to Lorraine for manning it for us!!!!! :) We came home for waaaaaaaayyyy too much candy for just Jenna so I guess it worked out that she has a pregnant mommy and candy-loving daddy who could help her out with that!!! :)

Lots of things have happened since the last time I blogged.....I know...i'm really bad...but you all knew that already :) Anways....since i last wrote...Jenna turned 2 years old!!!!!!! I know, crazy huh??? Well here's a few pictures from her TinkerBell party....more will come soon...as soon as I get them from a friend :) She got lots of clothes.....three shopping carts with food to go along with the play kitchen that James and I got for her....thanks for the presents everyone!!!!

I know, I know, it's about time, right. I hope that you all haven't given up on me and are actually going to check this!!!!

Anyways, a whole lot has happened in the six months that I haven't posted anything. Jenna is growing like crazy every day. But, no, she's not talking very much yet. She says a few words every now and then, but mostly it's squealing and nodding her head in answer to our questions.

In May, we went to Utah for Reese Baker's wedding. Then, Jenna and I went down again in the middle of May to watch my two sisters play in and win the State Tournament for Idaho High School Softball. The next day, we also witnessed Sondra's graduation from High School. June was completely full of stuff all the time. We had volleyball camp, scout day camp, ward activities, baby showers, and all sorts of other things. We celebrated Father's day and then my 22nd birthday. Then there was the 4th of July (keep looking for pictures about that!!!)

And here are some pictures of our wonderful camping vacation in Silver Creek, Idaho for the Forsberg Family Reunion!!!!!

Our way crazy new game this year at Silver Creek was brought by the Orchard boys.

It was called "Mountain Cricket." It is a combination of baseball, golf, cricket, and bowling. And it's pretty much impossible to explain in words, so here's some pictures to help:

This year, James remembered that he really likes fishing. So, no bored time this year, just fishing. At first they were only 6 inches long, then they increased to 7 and then on to 9!!!!!

First of all, this is what came about from our 4th of July celebration. Yep, that's right, on SUNDAY the 4th, James came home from Church after a missionary meeting (yep with both Elder Farnsworth & Elder Kessler there) and decided to light off 3 of the professional-grade fireworks left over from the huge show we had on Saturday night.

I looked out after the 2nd one went off and gave him the look:) Then after the 3rd one, I came out of the house completely to tell them it wasn't a good idea.....But it was too late....the field next to our house was already on fire!!!!!

Luckily, the elders could help, but of course all three of them were all wearing their suits. James called the fire department and because it was the 4th, they were all just waiting for a call, so they got there and were spraying it down within ten minutes or so. We were lucky that day that even though the wind was blowing, it wasn't blowing harder than it was. The fire department helped so much. They were there about 2 hours or so and then left. We assumed that meant the fire was out completely, but they left to go to another fire in McConihe flats that seemed more emergent. We left to go have dinner at Grandma Jones' house, but while we were gone, the fire started again and nearly burned down an abandoned house near the back of our property. Anyways, everything turned out okay, but it sure was a stressful day.

2010 has been a crazy year already. Not too many big things have happened, but we've still been pretty crazy around here. James and I went on the 7-day soup diet earlier this month. He lost 19 pounds in a week whereas I only lost 7!!! It was probably the longest week of my life!!!! But it has helped me to stop eating so much at each meal and to quit snacking!!!!

Anyways, here are some pictures to let you know the last of what's happened with us lately. After this, I will be completely updated!!!!!

Today was Jenna's first horseback ride. She had a fun time being outside and getting to be on Uncle Reid's horses.

It's amazing how much Jenna loves being outside. (Most kids probably do, I guess.) She just loves walking around outside and looking at things.

I just want to announce that I finally canned something all by myself yesterday!!! Yep, that's right. I canned applesauce. I only got 14 quarts (2 batches) done and it felt like I had been at it long enough to have done 5 batches, but I got them done and I'm pretty proud of myself!!!!!

All I have to say is that I give props to all of you who have ever canned with young kids before. I only have one, but it was one of the most difficult things I've ever done. Jenna would not cooperate and doing it by myself took nearly all of my attention. She just didn't like that at all!!!!

On October 1st, Jenna Nicole Baker turned one year old!!!!
(Grandma Forsberg got one year older too, but we won't get specific :) Love ya Mom!!!!

It certainly was a day full of celebration (and pictures)!!!!!!

First thing, Jenna and I set out to make some cakes. Yes, I mean cakeS, lots of cakes. Jenna's cake, guest cake, and 12 little cupcakes. As you can see, she had a great time helping mommy making them and then getting to lick the beaters and spoon when we were all said and done.

The reason we had to make the cupcakes was so that my volleyball team could be in on the festivities. (In case you didn't know, I am the assistant volleyball coach at Big Bend Community College here in Moses Lake. ) At first I was going to invite them all over for a party, but then decided I didn't want that many people at my house at one time and I just didn't know how Jenna would handle it.

So we brought the party to them at practice.

Here's the team, everyone with their own candle and cupcake!! They had a blast singing to Jenna.

Then started the messiness!!!!

She certainly was a mess!!! But that didn't stop her from playing just like usual:

Later that night, it was time for the birthday party!!!!

I had to get the cake finished by putting the frosting on it (whipped cream is amazing!!) Jenna found out she reallly likes whipped cream, enough to actually lick the lid!!!

I will say, this isn't the prettiest cake, but I do have to say that I am an amateur and it was absolutely perfect for our little Jenna!!

Time to open presents!!!! I thought that all she would want to do was play with the wrapping paper, but the very first present she opened was this doll and she would not put it down!!!

Man, she is so stinking cute isn't she? So loving. You can tell it was bedtime and she was plumb tired out. but the party wasn't over yet. The best part is still yet to come.

CAKE TIME!!!!!!

Yes cake time was definitely fun. She was having a blast and wondering the whole time, I'm sure, why we weren't stopping her. But she was eating as if we were going to take it away and she wanted to eat as much as possible before that time came.

She didn't really know what to do at first. She didn't exactly know what it was because of all the frosting, but she sure did figure things out pretty quickly.

Oh Mom, I'm parched!!!!! Give me a drink so I can wash it down and eat some more!!!!!!

Patty cake, patty cake, roll it, and THROW IT IN THE OVEN!!!!!!!!!!!!

Of course she had to have at least a little bit of ice cream in there. No problem. Leave it to daddy.

She just couldn't believe we were letting her get so messy!!!!!

After two tubs of bath water, a couple of washcloths, and a lot of scrubbing, Jenna was all clean and so was my kitchen floor AND WALLS!!!! (yep that's right. She flung cake and frosting EVERYWHERE!!!!)

It was time to play with her toys. It was definitely bedtime, but with all that sugar and chocolate in her system, it would take a while for her to want to go to sleep.

Oh well, you only turn 1 once right?????

A little update

It's been so so long since I've written anything on this blog, so here are a few pictures and updates from the last two months:

The last two months have been full of changes in our little angel. Jenna has gotten to be pretty much a pro at walking. She walks around everywhere and loves being LOUD!!!

On September 4th, she helped me wash the car and got completely soaked:

On September 13th, Daddy gave her a diet pepsi to play with. It's amazing the things that she loves to play with and never wants to let go!!!

Oh and this was also the day that I put her first pigtails in. Kinda crooked, but they were still so cute on her!!!!

Jenna and I went and visited Grandma Forsberg's house in the middle-end of September. It was there that Jenna first got to sit at the piano and play it just like a big girl!!!! It was really cute and heartwarming for me to see that my baby girl likes playing the piano just like me!!!!! :)

Yep, she's walking alright and at 9 1/2 months!!! I took this video about a week and a half ago, so she's actually walking a little better than this, but not much. She is growing up so quickly and I love her so much. Sorry it's sideways. I have no idea how to fix it, but at least you'll get the basic idea.

This little girl is growing up so fast!!! She is doing so many things that show me that!!! She's actually starting to walk!!!!! I'm not sure if that is a good thing or not. I've been told that I don't really want her to walk, but I think it's normal for you to want your first child to walk, then as you get more, you know you don't want them to walk. Oh well, she's getting there at a good enough pace for me.

She is so so silly. I was folding laundry, which with Jenna's help, is more like UNfolding laundry :) Anyways, she's hilarious to watch sometimes, even though it's frustrating to refold the clothes. But, I find that if I give her one piece of clothing to play with, she plays with it and leaves the rest alone. Last week, Sondra stayed with us for a week. One day when I was folding laundry, Sondra put some of James' shorts that Jenna was playing with over her head, but instead of pulling them off completely, she pulled them the wrong way and her head went through the leg holes!!!! She ended up wearing his shorts like a toga!!!! (pic above) She's a crazy kid, but she eventually figured out how to jiggle them off.

Yep, like I said, Jenna is learning to walk right now, and there's really nothing I can do about it. She walks all over the place, sometimes by herself, and sometimes with the help of furniture or my legs.

I know that it's been almost two weeks since we got home from the Forsberg Family camping trip to Silver Creek, but I'm finally posting some pictures of our fun!!!!

Jenna loved playing in the Plunge only because it was warm. Playing in the creek was a different story. She sat on the edge of the cold water, but I don't have pictures of that right now. I'll post them soon.

She loved walking along the bar in the pool. She was actually able to walk around AND be in the warm water!!!!!!

Jenna's Grandpa Forsberg was really good at getting her to sleep while Mommy had fun playing cards with the family. (Too bad that night, she kept waking up and not going to sleep which made mommy frustrated!)

I love that Jenna is entertained so cheaply!!!!!! Just give her a cardboard box and she's in heaven.

Bath time is one of Jenna's favorite during the day and camping wasn't any different. Then her three aunts decided it would be funny to give her a mohawk-correction fauxhawk :)

I'm sorry that I haven't done a very good job at keeping up. I'm really trying though. So all I'm going to do it say that life is going good. Jenna is growing up so fast and is getting sillier than ever, as you can tell from her crazy pictures. I will post pictures soon from today's festivities. I want to say a late Happy Father's Day to James. He is an excellent dad and I don't know what I would do without him. Although sometimes I complain, he really is very helpful. He loves playing with his little girl and has a ton of fun with her.

Also, I do have to say that on the same day that James celebrated his first real Father's Day, I also celebrated my 21st birthday!!!!!! Alright I'm finally old enough to drink legally!!!! Just kidding!!!!

June 21st was a pretty good day. James got me a new computer!!!! I actually figured that with my own computer that I'd do better at keeping updated on this blog, but it's actually been worse. Anyways, I kinda already knew what I was getting for my birthday, but I tried to act surprised.

On that Saturday night before, James took me out on a date. He even bought me flowers which were absolutely beautiful. We went to watch the movie "The Proposal" because i absolutely love Sandra Bullock, and then he took me out to dinner at Michael's on the Lake in Moses Lake.

I really just can't believe how big Jenna is getting. And how smart and funny her personality is. For those of you who don't see her very often, she has grown so much. She crawling everywhere she can get to, getting into things she's not supposed to, and cruising/walking around the entire house as long as there's something to grab ahold of. She is so sweet though. She has a pretty good sense of humor, too. She loves it when people make funny faces at her. She has 5 teeth and the 6th one is on it's way right now. Here are some pictures for all of you to see.

Baker Family Vacation

Well, it's been a week since the Leon Baker family left for their family vacation across Southern washington and into Oregon. On Wednesday, May 27, we all left Moses Lake to make our way to White Salmon, Washington, a town with very few people in it. (For those of you on the Forsberg side, it's about like the city of Crouch, ID. It's the same kind of mountainy tourist feel too.) Anyways, it's right on the Southern border of Washington, across the border from Mt. Hood, Oregon. Well, we took our sweet time getting there. Jenna did ok on that part of the road trip.

That night we spent the night at the Inn of the White Salmon (shown above) which had a beautiful view of Mt. Hood (also shown). We had lots of fun walking around and looking in all the little shops there.

The next day was the peak of fun on our trip: Whitewater rafting!!! For any of you who have never tried for whatever reason, be it you're scared or just haven't wanted to try, DO IT!!!!

It was so much fun I could hardly stand it. And we didnt' even go very long. Our trip was only 2 hours long, about 7 miles. And some of it was pretty still, too, but the rapids were well worth it. We all had so much fun.

Now don't start off scared just because our suits make us look absolutely ridiculous!!! Once you're in the water, no one even sees them.

If you're wondering where we went, we are really there. We're just 2 feet under the water!!!!!! It was crazy!!!! It's really not as bad as it looks in these pictures. I didn't believe our guide when he said we'd gone 2 feet under. I knew I'd gotten wet, but not that wet.

After whitewater rafting, we went to Portland by way of the scenic route around Mt. Hood. We stayed in Portland and spent some time with James' Grandpa and Grandma Baker. Then, Friday we made our way back to Tri-Cities. Along the way, we stopped at Multnomah Falls, which I had never seen before, so here are some pics I took. Isn't it beautiful?

We all spent the night in Tri-Cities, went to the temple the next morning, and headed home Saturday afternoon. It was a great vacation.

Memorial Day

This year's Memorial Day was fun but not quite as chaotic as last years with Tyler's state track and graduation and all. It was quite fun though. We just kind of chilled all day long. James got up and went to do some stuff on the farm, but came home not too long after. Then we came to Leon and Lorraine's house and chilled some more. Finally I decided it was time to see how Jenna would react to the swimming pool. Well, it didn't go so great. Yeah, she had been in the water in Hawaii, but somehow this just seemed a little different. I think it was just because it just wasn't necessarily warm at all. It wasn't too chilly, but it wasn't warm either. Well, we got in and I put her in the little turtle floatie that I had bought her, but she just didn't like not being held while in the water. She cried and cried, until I took her out and just held her. She loved it then. She was splashing away like crazy.

FHE group

James and I have been in an FHE group for young married couples for a couple months now. We kind of helped start it and we have about 5 or 6 couples that come to it regularly every week. Well, it was at our house the very first time and on May 18, it was our turn to host again. Well, instead of playing games and having treats like we normally do, James and I decided to go for something a little bit different. We had a BBQ. That day, everything seemed to go really well, until everyone got there. That was when the wind started blowing. Luckily, everything worked out just fine. We all had fun and it was nice just to get to sit and talk to each other rather than have an organized game night. After eating, we took some pictures of everyone there. We had 18 people show up, the most we've ever gotten. I'm glad we decided to do it outside rather than inside our tiny apartment!!! Here's a picture of all our amazing wonderful and silly husbands.

My little girl is growing so fast!!!!

I'm so sorry that it's been so long since I've updated this thing everybody. Here's a little news from the past few weeks.

I can't believe how fast Jenna is growing. Pretty soon she'll be nine months old and crawling around on the ground while we're camping!!!!!!!
At 7 months old now, she is really learning to move around. For my Mother's Day gift, James took me and Jenna to see my mom. It was so sweet of him. He really wanted it to be a surprise, but he didn't even know where to start in packing for me, and especially not Jenna. So it wasn't a surprise, but it sure was a treat. Anyways, while we were there, Jenna finally crawled!!!! She's been scooting around for what seems like forever. She gets to where she wants to go, but wasn't actually getting her belly off the ground and moving one leg at a time and one arm at a time. While we were in Idaho, however, she finally did it!!!! I was so proud of her. She just likes to go everywhere by pushing with her toes and not moving with her knees. Now, hopefully (and not hopefully at the same time) she will learn to crawl better.

Jenna loves the toys at Grandma's house better than her own house. It's a good thing that she has cool toys. She likes to play with the piano like Mommy and also the tractor like Daddy.

Yes, Jenna is really that old. She only has 5 more months until she's a whole year old. I can't believe it at all. Even though she is that old, though, these are some pictures of her we had taken in April when she was only 6 months old. I finally got them so that's why they are just now getting posted. I really wish I had gotten a video or at least a better picture a couple of nights ago. When I was trying to put Jenna in her carseat to go home, she did NOT, I repeat NOT! want to get back in it. I laid her in it and she just wiggled and wiggled and turned herself over backwards and finally wiggled her way out of the carseat. It was absolutely hilarious!!! Had I been impatient or in a bad mood, though, I would have been quite angry. As it was, I found it really cute and funny. Well, anyways, yesterday, I got some pictures of her just sitting in her carseat with her jacket only on her head and not over her arms. No she didn't get this way in the carseat by herself. I put her in it like that, but she was being so cute, I had to take pictures.

As you can tell by the picture, one of Jenna's favorite toys is.....the wipe container. I have never seen a baby so intrigued by a white bucket like she is sometimes. She's really getting around now and she is learning how to climb up things. She hasn't quite gotten the one-leg-at-a-time crawling down yet, but she sure gets to where she wants to go. She is so cute sometimes, but she is into everything. I know, you're all thinking, "you're only just beginning!!" I know, but just because I don't like how she gets into everything, I still love her and I just hope I can continue to have patience with her!!!

It's coming up on Jenna's very first Easter this weekend!!! James and I have been trying to get together with other young couples and have Family Home Evening to make it a little more interesting. Yesterday, we had Natalie and Brady Coulston over to decorate easter eggs and eat strawberry shortcake (ymmmmmm delicious!!!). Just so you all know, Jenna was doomed in the silliness category before she was ever born. Anyone who knows either one of her parents will agree wholeheartedly :) She loves crawling around naked, always has. But now, she gets to do it more often just because it's warming up! Yeah!!!!! As you all know, 6 month old babies are very curious of their surroundings and like to get into anything and everything they see and can reach. Well, Jenna is really into playing with her carseat these days. I set it in the corner when I don't want it to be in the way (or if I want the room to look less cluttered). Well, since Jenna is all over the place these days, it was not safe in the corner. She saw it and sought it out immediately. When she got there, she noticed the blanket sitting on top. She knew that in order to reach the inside of the carseat, she had to get rid of that blanket first. So she grabbed onto it and tried to get it out of the way. Instead, she pulled it out on top of her.

At first, I thought she was going to get upset from being under the blanket and being in the dark, but to my surprise, she just sat there with the blanket over her upper body and didn't say anything or move for the longest time!!!!

It was absolutely hilarious!!! She finally wiggled her way through the other side and got out eventually.

Jenna gets really excited when she gets to play at Grandma Baker's house. She has a little tiny toy tractor!!!! On Sunday, Jenna was going crazy with this little green machine. She squishes it, plays with it and then sucks it to death!!!

She's already getting to love the tractors and mommy is worried (ok not worried) that she will love them too much when she gets older!

She also loves to play with the little rubber ball too.

This last weekend, James and I and Jenna went out to a Mexican dinner with Leon and Lorraine. Jenna was really good through our chips and salsa and partway through the actual meal, which is good for her. (Normally she gets fussy and wants out of her carseat once we get our food.) Anyways, after we were done eating, Lorraine held her and put a peice of ice on the table in front of her. Jenna absolutely loved it!!! She played with those ice cubes forever!!! What a silly girl!

I just can't believe it's been 6 months already!!! Jenna is half a year old!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought about making half a cake and being cheesy like that, but I didn't. I did, however take some pictures of her. I was trying to do laundry that night and James thought it would be fun to have Jenna help Mommy fold it. I had already laid the folded clothes on the floor and I kinda freaked out when he set her on the floor!!! I didn't want to fold them again! Instead, Daddy put Jenna INSIDE the clothes basket to help that way.

Last night, I was going through some of James' things (I've been trying to clean my house so it doesn't look so cluttered, being a tiny house and all). Well, in one of the boxes, there was a pair of earmuffs, headphones, whatever you want to call them, to protect your ears when you shoot guns. James, being the weirdo that he is :) decided it would be cute to put them on Jenna. Well, at first I thought he was just being mean, because those things were huge on her and probably tight, not to mention she couldn't hear anything. But since she was so darn cute, I wanted everyone to see it.

I haven't written at all this last week because Jenna and I decided to go to Grandma Forsberg's house for Spring Break. I know, lame excuse for not writing because she does have a computer. We just didn't really feel like it. We just chilled and had a whole lot of fun. So this post is all about how much fun we had.

It was fun to see the family again. They couldn't believe how much Jenna has grown. She really has too. We had a fun time with all the girls last week. We did all sorts of things. We played games, such as Monopoly (only at Megan's request because Niki hates losing all the time) and PayDay. Scattergories really had our brains going good and Mom (or Grandma Forsberg, to Jenna) beat us all good. Jenna had lots of fun playing with all the new toys that Grandma had accumulated. Some of them are still a little advanced for her, but she had fun anyways. Her favorite toy was the star tower with the smiley face on top. The best part about it was that it sung!!!!

Now we know why they always put faces on baby toys. They absolutely love it!!!

What was funny about all the toys? Well, I brought a ton of toys and with those AND all the ones that Grandma had, what she played with the most was..................

.....................THE DIAPER BAG!!!!!

That's right. She loves playing with that thing. Why? I have absolutely no idea.

Little miss Jenna had a ton of fun playing with her aunts. Sondra, Megan, and Kaylee all loved the fact that we stayed the entire week!!!!

It's nice to spend time with everyone as much as we can because Jenna grows so fast in such a short time!!!!

One day during the week, Aunt Megan decided that she needed to play with Niki's hair. At first, it was great for both of us. I love the feeling of someone running their fingers through my hair. Not long after, I ended up with a ponytail full of hair right on the top of my head.

Not too attractive if you ask me. Now, if you think this is bad, just wait. Later, things just got a little out of control..........................

I know, crazy huh? Who would have thought that Megan would do that to ME!!!!!!!!!!

You should have seen Jenna's reaction to it!!!! She was pretty tired right then, I could tell, but she saw that thing sticking straight out of my head and all she wanted was to play with it. She even decided to try and taste it. She slobbered all over my hair, but realized she didn't really like how it tasted.

Since Anne has come home, and Jill came home for this last weekend, we decided it was a good time to get a picture of the Leon Baker family all together for the first time.....

This picture was taken at Jacob Jones' wedding open house on the 14th.

On Sunday, Anne gave her homecoming talk in ML 5th ward which we attended that week. Following the meeting, we went over to Leon and Lorraine's house for dinner. It was amazing. We had roast and mashed potatoes at Anne's request since Italy doesn't have much of either.......

The hat Jenna is wearing is one that Anne sent last year. It is a french hat, but I thought this Sunday was the perfect time to wear it.

ANNE'S HOME!!!!!!!

It's been a week already, but ANNE IS HOME!!! For those of you who don't know, Anne is Anne Baker. She is James' sister and my sister-in-law!!! She got home from her mission in Milan, Italy on Friday the 13th (of March). My mother and father-in-law, Jill (my other sister-in-law), James, Jenna and I all went to the airport to pick her up in Spokane at......... 11:00PM!!!!!!!!

It may have been late, but it sure was worth it. We had a blast. We went to dinner at a Japanese steakhouse and watched our food get cooked right in front of us.

Then we went to get milkshakes and off to the airport. It's a good thing we went when we did because Anne's plane arrived about 15 minutes ahead of schedule!!! We got there just in time to change Jenna. When we saw Anne come down the escalator, she looked so excited. She came right over to Leon and Lorraine and gave them huge hugs and all started to cry!!!! They were tears of joy most definitely! She then hugged Jill and James. Next, she went for.....nope not me......Jenna!!! She was so excited to see her neice for the first time in real life. (yes, Anne and I had met only a few times before she left on her mission, but James and I hadn't even started thinking about dating by that time. Jill and I were just good friends.) Jenna loved seeing her semi-new aunt too.

The trip home was definitely late, but with all the talking and catching up that was going on, it didn't seem long at all. When we arrived, Anne got to see her beautiful Welcome Home sign.......

It will be so nice to get to know my other sister-in-law. There is so much to get to know about each other!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Crazy Naked BABY!!!!

I know these aren't pictures you all want to see, but I thought they were adorable. Jenna, like most babies (I think) loves crawling around without her clothes on. The other day, I was getting ready to give her a bath. I laid down up against the couch and took some pictures of her naked on the floor. The first is from a distance, but as I took more and more pictures, she noticed the camera I was holding and started coming towards me. Pretty soon, she was so close to me I couldn't get her whole face in the picture, so I stopped. It was so cute. She loves my camera or anything else with batteries, lights, or that are black.

Hey everyone!!!! I am so excited to be telling you that after over a year of marriage, paying for hospital bills, James' stolen truck and borrowing my sister-in-law's car............

I finally have a new car. It is a white 2005 Chrysler Pacifica!!!! It is amazing. It looks very new inside and out. Getting it has been quite the adventure. James and I have argued over which kind of car to get. He didn't want a caravan because he just didn't want to be a "van man." I know weird huh? Well, he didn't want a car because he says he's too big for them. He is pretty big, but I think he just wanted to frustrate me. (No one else's husband does that right?) It's perfect for us because it gets good gas mileage for when we visit family. It has one less seat than a caravan, but I can fit 4 carseats/boosters in it. We can grow a while before we'll need something bigger. (Hopefully it takes us a while to grow out of it.) Well anyways, we test-drove this Pacifica a couple of weeks ago, but didn't have the money for it at the time. Now that James has been paid for his potatoes from last year, we could finally go to the dealership and pay cold hard cash for it!!! It's amazing that not only do a have a new car, but my budget is not screwed up over it. We owe absolutely nothing!!! I love it. It's been a long wait, but it certainly is worth it!!!!!

In case you haven't noticed, I love putting headbands on Jenna's head. Sometimes they are flowers, sometimes plain, and sometimes bows. Today she had on a brown polka-dotted headband with a bow on it. With all of her rolling around and playing with the couch, the headband ended up on her head backwards. James took on look at her and said, "She looks like Rambo!!" I was stunned, but she really did with that headband across her forehead and the bow in the back!!!

Now that Jenna's over five months old, I thought it was past time to feed her solid food (cereal). She kinda liked it, but wasn't exactly sure how much she liked it. She wouldn't eat very much, but she has since eaten more and I think she's getting used to it.

Like I've been saying, Jenna is moving a whole bunch. In this video, I am moving our TV remote forward just as she gets close to it. She gets a little frustrated, but I think it's hilarious that she wants it so bad that she scoots her way towards it and finally reaches it. Yes, I did eventually leave it on the ground and let her get to it and play with it!! I'm not that mean.

I still can't believe how much Jenna is growing and how fast she is doing it. She has so many fat rolls, but she might be slowing down a little bit. She is moving more and more everyday. A couple of days ago, she really started sitting up all by herself. She is still a little bit wobbly here and there, but for the most part, she can keep herself from falling over. And if she does fall over, she doesn't fall too hard because she using her hands to brace herself. Besides, she's pretty padded all over :)

I'm sorry everyone. It's been a little while since I've said anything. There really isn't much to update, but I wanted you to know that I'm trying. Jenna is doing great. She rolls around everywhere and is starting to learn to crawl. She is all over the place all the time but gets really frustrated sometimes. She'll roll into something and starts crying because she can't roll anymore that direction, but doesn't seem to know how to roll the other direction. She has her mind made up as to where she wants to go and refuses to go a different way. But she'll get the hang of it.

Day of St. Valentine

Valentine's day was great for the Baker family. Jenna sure enjoyed her first "love" day. She gave Daddy a FunDip valentine and he loved it. We all had a good day just chilling and spending time together. But now we're back to everyday life, and nothing is really happening. Just the ordinary. Hey everyone. I told you that I wasn't very good at updating my life on this blog. Just don't say I didn't warn you. The other day, James wanted to see if Jenna would lean on the couch with her back up against it. She wouldn't do it very well, but she did pretty good at holding herself up while sitting next to it. Finally, he stood her up facing the couch and she did pretty good at holding herself up. She's always liked standing as long as we were supporting her weight or holding her hands. She's been doing that for such a long time. So when James leaned her up against the couch, she held herself up pretty good. I got this picture with my phone because it was the only camera I had at the time. That's why it's so blurry. But you get the idea. And no she's not standing on her own yet. She's not even crawling, but she will be soon. That is, as soon as she learns to keep her knees on the ground and move her arms at the same time!!!

Now that she can reach out and grab things pretty well, at least for a 4 month old, Jenna loves sitting up in her swing and playing with the little rattle sitting on it. But sometimes, she wears herself out and just crashes there with her hand still on the rattle. I just had to capture the moment!

One Big Girl

Jenna had a doctor's appointment on Tuesday, February 3 where she was weighed and measured. Before laying her on the scale, the nurse guessed that she would be a 30-pounder. I knew she was heavy, but not quite that heavy. I guessed about 21 or 22 pounds. When we layed her on the scale, we were both surprised. She weighed 18 pounds 4 ounces. It was crazy. I was kind of relieved, though. It made me feel better to know that she wasn't as heavy as I thought, except that she seems a lot heavier than that when I carry her around every day. Even James thought she would be heavier than that and he's pretty strong. She was also measured at 26 inches long. For how big she is her feet are rather small. I hope that fixes itself.

Lots of rolls

Not only our little girl have enough rolls to make her a cute little chunky monkey, but she is full of energy and rolling all over the place. She first rolled over from front to back in December, but she figured out how to get from her back to her front on January 27th. The problem was, she didn't really do it for anyone but me, so no one believed me, until I caught it on video. Now she is a rolling maniac. We've gotten to the point, that I can't just leave her on her back on the living room floor and expect her to stay there. She is a wiggle worm every time I try to change her diaper and she rolls around every room in the house. I can't believe how much she's grown. Before long, she will be crawling and we will have to watch very closely what we put on the floor and I'll have to completely rearrange the house so that nothing is close to the floor that she could choke on. It's crazy, and I'm sad that she's growing so fast, but it's still exciting. I just don't want to hear anything about how I am going to regret saying that. I know what you're all thinking: She doesn't even know what she's getting herself into. I know having a crawling infant around is crazy and hard work, but I'm excited for it.

I can't believe how fast they grow. I always thought time went fast as I grew up, but I could never believe it would go even faster. Well, it sure does. Jenna has grown so much. She is all smiles and laughter. We love her so much and hate that all of you can't see her every day like we can.

We've been back from Hawaii for a month now, and I wish we could be there still. It was amazing. But so much has happened since we got back. Going to visit Grandma and Grandpa Forsberg was fun for Jenna and Niki. It was there that Jenna really started laughing, at a toy given to her by Grandma Baker and then again at Grandpa Forsberg's hand. She's such a silly girl. Although we didn't get to try surfing, James went scuba diving, and Niki went on an hour-long helicopter ride. Jenna just enjoyed sleeping in Mommy's arms while sitting on the beach. She also learned how to blow bubbles while there and was so cute doing it!!!!

Not many people can say that their very first swim ever was in the Pacific Ocean on Waikiki Beach in Hawaii. (At least not many people who live in the continental US :) And very few can say that their mother's first swim in the ocean was at the same time. I know, pathetic huh?

New Year's Celebration

This year was probably a once-in-a lifetime New Year's Celebration. We spent it on Waikiki Beach in Oahu, Hawaii. We watched fireworks out on the ocean, and to ease your worries, we did play cards that night :) It was absolutely amazing!!!!!
